Eurofins - Employer branding

In 2022, I helped the company Eurofins Miljø Denmark develop an employer branding campaign with the goal of supporting employee satisfaction and improving the brand position. Eurofins Miljø is Denmark’s biggest environmental laboratory with around 350 employees spread across five locations.

We kicked the process off with a full day workshop with the entire management team. In this workshop, we identified internal challenges, defined our mission and success criteria and decided on the first actions for change and how to implement them.

The concept of “Superheroes in Labcoats” was born. It was to be our mission (every employee should feel like a superhero coming to work) and our long-term campaign concept. In collaboration with the graphic design agency Unseen Studio, we developed a visual identity in line with the superhero/comic theme.

We selected three projects that would launch our new mission:

An internal podcast – Aiming to give all employees a better understanding of each others’ work areas and expertise and help everyone appreciate the importance of their role in the company. Through onsite interviews and personal stories told by the employees themselves we have now released 10 episodes with more to come.

Everyday stories – From groundbreaking research to happy customers: Sharing the stories across all communication platforms available in Eurofins’ five different locations. From monthly newsletters from the CEO to information screens and “toilet news bulletins”.

A grand launch of “Superheroes in Labcoats”: We chose to launch the concept at the annual employee event followed up by all managers handing out new work t-shirts and merchandise (with our Superhero in Labcoats logo) the morning after simultaneously at all five locations.

One year after the launch, we did a follow-up with an internal survey about “Superheroes in Labcoats”, and the results are astounding, even to me: 73% of employees found that the concept was worth spending ressources on and that it gave them a better understanding of their colleagues’ work area as well as more meaningfulness in their own work.
